ABOUT THE PROGRAM
The Deadly Coders Academy is a nationally recognised First Nations education charity. Our Academy program is our flagship career pathway — designed to take motivated First Nations people with foundational tech skills and build them into job-ready software engineers in 10 weeks.
The program runs Monday and Tuesday each week from 31 August 2026 at CBA's Sydney CBD offices, with structured self-directed study tasks to complete between sessions. This is a blended learning model combining face-to-face instruction, team-based project work and independent practice.

- Backend engineering with Node.js, REST APIs, PostgreSQL and DynamoDB
- Cloud and DevOps using AWS, Docker and CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions
- Software testing and security including Jest, TDD, OWASP Top 10 and secure coding practices
- Professional engineering practices including Agile, system design, observability and responsible AI use
- Capstone project — a full-stack application built and presented live to CBA representatives in Week 10
