The ACT Education Directorate is seeking an experienced Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander educator to join a small yet dynamic team as the Assistant Director Cultural Integrity Professional Practice. A major focus of the role is to lead and manage the design and delivery of professional learning programs and the development of teaching and learning resources to strengthen teacher capability to embed the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Histories and Cultures Cross-curriculum Priority of the Australian Curriculum across all subject areas and year levels.
Eligibility/Other requirements:
- A minimum of 4 years full time (or equivalent) tertiary study leading to the award of a recognised school teaching qualification.
- Current professional teaching registration with the ACT Teacher Quality Institute (or eligibility to obtain).
- Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP). Prior to commencing this role, a current registration issued under the Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011 is required. Note: A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months.
