About the Team
The People and Culture Operations team are responsible for providing the Pay and Conditions, Service Desk and Workforce Data and Analytics support and advice for the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission (ACQSC). This is achieved through the management and resolution of requests received via our service desk tool, and ongoing data quality and assurance. The function also manages the key relationship with our Shared Services Provider. The team are responsive, trusted and reliable partners who provide valued advice and services to staff at all levels.
About the Role
The role of the Senior People and Culture Advisor, Workforce Data and Analytics is to lead and manage the Commission’s establishment and position administration function.
Position Duties
- Collect and compile HR metrics and data from a variety of sources including the human resource information system (HRIS) and SAP Workforce. Investigate and analyse data to identify errors and systems issues and work with relevant areas to implement remedial action which continually improves data reliability and quality.
- Accountable under limited direction to perform complex establishment, position management and transactional work within an integrated workforce.
- Responsible for organizing the workflow and for making independent decisions related to their area of responsibility
- Liaise extensively with stakeholders, ensure data quality, and provide timely procedural, clerical and administrative support to achieve team objectives.
- Manage audit, control and quality improvement processes with respect to all aspects of SAP and their application to facilitate data integrity and security.
- Provide verification of and ensure the accuracy of, all external, executive level and other major reports, including the Workforce Profile.
- Create detailed documentation and support materials including standard operating procedures, process maps, business requirements, functional specifications of data queries and datasets etc as required
Risk Accountabilities:
- Apply quality assurance, validation and data linkage in the context of business needs whilst identifying and embedding relevant and potentially new sources of data
- Respond to requests for information and advice while balancing competing demands to ensure objectives are achieved.
- Provide concise advice in a dynamic and complex working environment where users may not understand the context, assumptions and caveats associated with workforce data analysis.
- Managing highly sensitive and personal information in line with the APS Code of Conduct
People Accountabilities:
Provide assistance to other members of the Workforce Data and Analytics team and supervision of external staff members (in limited circumstances as required)
Position Eligibility Requirements (Selection Criteria):
To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate the following:
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite with the ability to prepare and deliver presentation for senior leadership.
- Advance excel skills utilizing complex formulas, data visualization to analyze large and disparate datasets and create dynamic reports for data manipulation and business insights.
- Ability to leverage various MS Office tools and channels to tailor information to the specific needs of the audience to ensure broad reach, targeted communication, and increased engagement with different stakeholders.
- Experience in managing data in a complex and changing environment and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated attention to detail to ensure accuracy of distributed and published results.
- Excellent communication skills at all levels and working as part of a team, ability to collaborate and contribute to data usage education and enablement of stakeholders.
- Strong organizational, time management and planning skills to handle competing demands and high workloads without compromising quality.
- Strong understanding in the use of Power BI will be well regarded.
Position Notes:
- Salary offered will be between $96,503 - $108,869 per annum depending on skills and experience. In addition, 15.4% superannuation will be paid.
