About the Team
The Digital Enablement Services Team are responsible for supporting and ensuring the reliable and efficient functioning of the Commission infrastructure and services, by optimising performance, enhancing security, integration and supporting the delivery of services to the Commissions users. The Digital Automation Lead leads the end-to-end automation lifecycle, from strategy and discovery through design, implementation, and governance. They act as a bridge between digital teams and any other stakeholders who define the processes or build the solutions, ensuring that automation opportunities are delivered with speed, quality, and security.
About the Role
The Digital Automation Lead drives the Commission’s digital modernisation by identifying, designing, and implementing in collaboration with Digital teams’ automation solutions that improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability across Digital tasks and processes.
The role is as both a strategic and technical leader for the automation ecosystem, with a particular focus initially on Workato as the enterprise automation platform. Ensuring that automation aligns with team goals, integrates seamlessly with existing systems, and delivers measurable value.

Position Eligibility Requirements (Selection Criteria):
To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate the following:
- Skilled in discovery, design, development, and support of automations as part of end-to-end lifecycle management building an automation portfolio.
- Digital transformation mindset that understands how automation drives and evolves the Digital landscape and the change associated with automation adoption, readiness, and engagement.
- Experienced co-creator who demonstrates cross-functional collaboration to create automation solutions.
- Strong coach and mentor for teams and citizen Automator’s for guiding best practices and building a culture of innovation and learning.
- Proven leader who drives an Automation Centre of Excellence, setting standards, templates, and reusable tools.
- Workato knowledge of recipe design, connectors etc. to be able to build scalable, reusable, and secure automations.
Position Notes:
- Salary offered will be between $118,588 - $135,251 per annum depending on skills and experience. In addition, 15.4% superannuation will be paid.

- Non-ongoing opportunity will be offered for an irregular/intermittent term. Opportunities will be offered for varying periods up to 12 months with the option to extend to a total of 24 months.
