AUSTRAC is undergoing a significant transformation, expanding its Regulatory scope and undertaking a major digital transformation to enhance its ability to combat money laundering and terrorism financing. As part of its growth, we are fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration and inclusivity. The Senior Business Analyst, Finance, plays a vital role in both the Program and Capability branch, contributing to continuous improvement across AUSTRAC's programs. Working closely with the Financial Systems Product owner, the role focuses on analysing and improving business processes, supporting agile and customer-centric solution design, and ensuring quality outcomes through testing and stakeholder engagement.
This position will be initially offered under a non-ongoing arrangement.
Key Duties
The EL1 Senior Business Analyst, Finance is responsible for:
- Analysing business and financial processes to recommend improvements
- Supporting strategy development and implementation using best-practice methodologies
- Engaging with stakeholders to ensure tools and systems are effective and aligned with agency goals
- Translating data into insights to inform decision-making
- Coordinating testing to ensure high-quality system delivery
