About the opportunity

AUSTRAC is looking for a Senior Test Analyst, who embraces a customer-centric mindset to deliver of high performing digital solutions and exceptional end-to-end user experience. As a key member of the Products Customer Experience team, you will translate customer pain points into actionable testing strategies, mapping risks and proposing effective solutions through customer-centric designs. You will collaborate across multiple Business Products Delivery teams to provide specialist expertise in quality assurance testing and agile product delivery. Your ability to connect with stakeholders with varying levels of expertise, will bridge the gap between technology, and our customers. As a curious problem solver at heart, you are willing to explore and break the system with various test scenarios to uncover bugs and defects.

As an impact player, you'll bring fresh ideas, a diverse perspective, and a tenacity for challenges to drive new and existing systems to the next level.

What are we looking for

  • Tertiary degree or professional certifications in related discipline and/or equivalent work experience relevant to the position.
  • Demonstrated experience in the Quality Assurance Testing space.
  • Demonstrated experience testing PEGA, CRM platforms, Data Analytics Platforms is highly desirable, but not mandatory.
  • Demonstrated experience using Automation tools Java and SQL is highly desirable, but not mandatory.

The key duties of the position include:

In this role, you will put users in the heart of everything you do, driving innovation and quality assurance, and elevating the customer experience in every solution we create.

  • Develop and execute strategic test plans - Identify test coverage, dependencies, risks, and map them to business needs, ensuring effective testing strategies.
  • Manage testing activities - Conduct manual, integration, regression, and automation testing, leveraging analytical skills to ensure system reliability and uncover issues.
  • Collaborate in an agile environment - Work closely with Product Owners, Delivery Managers, Business Analysts, and Developers to enhance product quality through continuous feedback and analysis
  • Lead defect management and resolution - Identify, prioritise, and resolve defects, using analytical insights to ensure seamless software functionality and improve user experience.
  • Champion customer experience - Use analytical insights to support stakeholders with expert guidance on system enhancements, testing practices, and data education, ensuring solutions align with customer needs.
  • Enhance quality assurance capabilities - Utilise XRAY JIRA to document test cases, executions, and reporting, ensuring transparency, accountability, and continuous analysis of results.
