About the Team

The Quality Assessment and Monitoring Group (QAMG) is responsible for quality assessment and monitoring of provider’s performance against the Aged Care Quality Standards and other provider obligations including Quality of Care Principles, accreditation and reaccreditation audits of residential aged care services and quality audits of home services.

 

About the Role

As part of a team, travel to aged care services and engage to assess the provider’s performance and compliance with the Aged Care Quality Standards.

Under the direction of the team leader, you will engage with aged care providers to collect information and evidence, actively follow through on lines of enquiry, and conduct interviews with service staff, management, older people and/or their representatives.

 

Position Duties

As a Quality Assessor in the QAMG, you will:

  • Collect and analyse evidence to record performance, audit and assessment findings in written reports, using the Commission’s IT applications. 
  • Identify and escalate risk and issues to the Team leader.
  • Contribute to well-reasoned and accurate reports for a delegate, which may be published, following an assessment of the quality of care and services provided by a service to inform statutory decisions within legislated timeframes. 
  • Predominantly be based in the field with over-night travel required regularly, undertaking visits to aged care services across each state and territory, including visiting communities where aged care services are provided.
  • Other duties as required.

 

Position Details

Salary offered will be between $83,281 - $90,026 per annum depending on skills and experience. In addition, 15.4% superannuation will be paid.

Roles are offered on an Ongoing/Non-Ongoing basis, with Non-Ongoing roles offered for an initial period of up to 12 months, with the possibility of one extension up to an additional 12 months.
