CSIRO is seeking expressions of interest from motivated and driven Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people to fill a range of full-time, part-time, and casual roles across our organisation. We have a variety of employment opportunities from geologists, accountants, rangers, project officers, and communication specialists to cultural capability advisors, research scientists, plumbers, electricians, and field workers. Location: Negotiable - any CSIRO site across Australia 

Salary: Varies depending on role (AU$24k - AU$128k plus up to 15.4% superannuation)

Tenure: Specified terms of up to 18 months or casual arrangements depending on individual role requirements

Who is eligible?

CSIRO considers the filling of any position attached to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Careers register is intended to constitute a special/equal opportunity/affirmative measure under section 8(1) of the Racial Discrimination Act 1975 (Cth). The register is therefore only open to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people with Australian Citizenship.

The successful candidates will be required to provide evidence to confirm that they are an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person.

Depending on individual role requirements, successful applicants may be required to provide contact details of at least one Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Cultural Referee to confirm their ability to work and communication respectfully with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Appointment to any CSIRO role is subject to provision of a national police check and may be subject to other security/medical/character requirements.
