Reporting to the Executive Manager, the Project Officer’s key focus will be leading and delivering initiatives that will build CSIRO’s capability to engage appropriately and ethically with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities/people/stakeholders through a range of activities underpinned by CSIRO’S Reconciliation Action Plan. This also includes the development and implementation and/or administration of policies, systems and procedures that assist the organisation and the IE to deliver on the Reconciliation Action Plan, achieve their objectives and meet Government and regulatory responsibilities.
Your duties will include:
Develop, deliver and lead identified activities within the Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) with a key focus on managing and delivering on projects and events to internal and external audiences.
Work collaboratively across CSIRO by providing internal Business Unit (BU) and Enterprise Support (ES) leaders with appropriate advice and connections to achieve RAP deliverables and complementary Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging programs.
Establish networks with other professionals in the field to ensure that the service provided by the IE team continues to add value, and programs or systems are tailored to clients’ needs and team members.
Maintain, manage, and respond to client enquiries promptly and constructively, taking personal responsibility for guaranteeing client satisfaction, whilst maintaining good record-keeping systems and processes.

Salary: AU$89,680 to AU$101,459pa (pro-rata for part-time) + up to 15.4% superannuation
Tenure: Indefinite, Full-time
To be considered you will need:
A current driver’s licence and the ability and willingness to travel regionally and interstate as required.
A strong demonstrated knowledge and experience in partnering with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and communities, including remote, regional and urban communities.
Demonstrated ability to develop, implement and manage activities and/or programs that aim to increase participation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
Highly developed interpersonal skills including the ability to establish and maintain relationships with other Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander staff, and the ability to coach colleagues to build respectful partnerships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
