ABOUT THE ORGANISATION

DANA is the national representative body for a network of advocacy organisations throughout Australia. Its vision is to provide a collective voice on the value of independent advocacy to support and promote the rights of people living with disability. DANA delivers the secretariat function for the NDIA / Disability Representative Carer Organisations (DRCOs) forum, designed as a central hub for overseeing co-design and collaboration for reform within the NDIS, and the National Coordination Function for Disability Representative Organisations.

 

ABOUT THE ROLE

You will work closely with the DRCOs and the NDIA Executive to identify issues of common importance and facilitating alignment in thinking and facilitate trust-based relationships. You will coordinate these policy positions and manage the overall Secretariat functions. This includes planning the program of engagement and Secretariat operations.

You will engage closely with the NDIA and members of the DRCO forum, collaborate on issues and agenda items, attend and co-facilitate meetings and working groups. With the support of a Policy Officer, you will also take carriage of all contractual reporting requirements and document management. This role will also provide coordination of the National Coordination Function.

This a fully remote role.

 

ABOUT YOU

You are an experienced manager with exceptional stakeholder engagement skills and credible knowledge the disability sector and the NDIS. You have a collaborative style and understand the principles of co-design to effectively engage with people in the sector, including people with disability. You have professional written communication skills and bring a methodical and organised approach to your work. You are able to manage a small team and engage across the broader team at DANA.
