ABOUT THE ORGANISATION
DANA is the national representative body for a network of advocacy organisations throughout Australia. Its vision is to provide a collective voice on the value of independent advocacy to support and promote the rights of people living with disability.
DANA is delivering the secretariat function for the NDIA and Disability Representative Carer Organisations (DRCOs) forum, designed as a central hub for overseeing co-design and collaboration for reform within the NDIS.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As Policy Officer, you will provide policy, secretariat and logistical support to the DRCOs in their work with the NDIA, a critical aspect of making this collaboration successful.
Reporting to the Policy Coordination Manager, you will help with mapping out timelines for meetings and working groups, collate agenda items, organising meeting logistics and complete minute taking. You will work with a range of external stakeholders and act as a key contact point.
You’ll manage registers, secretariat records and keep track of activities for reporting purposes. You will assist with developing coordinated policy positions among DRCOs.
This is a fully remote role.
YOUR TALENT AND CAPABILITIES
You have a talent for organisation and coordination, bringing tasks to fruition and people together. With about five years in a policy, operational or administrative role, you are adept at communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, have impeccable attention to detail and good writing skills.
You can turn your hand to different technologies to manage records and other data.
As part of a small team, you are flexible enough to help out when needed. Ideally, you will have a knowledge of the disability sector and if not, the willingness to learn.
