About the role:

As part of the R&D team, the Junior R&D Mechanical Engineer will work on a range of new and existing projects.

Specifically, you will:

• Assist with the build, test and commissioning of new R&D products
• Develop working knowledge of products and how they are used by customers
• Carry out first past evaluation of preliminary designs
• Assess, calculate, specify, and implement fit for purpose equipment to form the basis of a design/product
• Develop specifications and documentation to support patent investigations and applications.
• Implement appropriate documentation required for project execution and tracking

To be successful in the above duties, You will have:

• Relevant Australian engineering degree (Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering)
• A hands-on approach to practical problem solving
• Sound working knowledge of mechanical design principals
• Sound working knowledge of engineering FEA and drafting packages
• Good communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Ability to develop professional technical documentation, reports, testing documentation and presentations
