About the role:
As part of the R&D team, the Junior R&D Mechanical Engineer will work on a range of new and existing projects.
Specifically, you will:
- Assist with the build, test and commissioning of new R&D products
- Develop working knowledge of products and how they are used by customers
- Carry out first past evaluation of preliminary designs
- Assess, calculate, specify, and implement fit for purpose equipment to form the basis of a design/product
- Develop specifications and documentation to support patent investigations and applications.
- Implement appropriate documentation required for project execution and tracking
To be successful in the above duties, You will have:
- Relevant Australian engineering degree (Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering)
- A hands-on approach to practical problem solving
- Sound working knowledge of mechanical design principals
- Sound working knowledge of engineering FEA and drafting packages
- Good communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Ability to develop professional technical documentation, reports, testing documentation and presentations
